Meet Cara…
My journey into midwifery began with the births of my own four children. Inspired by the transformative experience of pregnancy and birth, I first worked as a doula before becoming a qualified midwife. For almost 20 years, I have had the privilege of supporting pregnant and birthing women, people, and their families through one of life’s most meaningful and memorable experiences. After working as a midwife within the public hospital system, I made the transition to private practice so I could offer more personalised and continuous care.
As a private midwife in the Blue Mountains, I am passionate about walking alongside growing families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks of parenthood. I believe everyone deserves access to a midwife of their choosing—someone they know and trust to provide support, guidance, and reassurance throughout their journey.
I see pregnancy and birth as natural, normal life events, but also as deeply significant experiences that can shape a family for years to come. My role is to help each woman and birthing person feel informed, confident, and empowered in their choices, while creating a nurturing and supportive environment where they feel safe and cared for. Whether that is at home, in hospital, or another birth setting, I am committed to providing individualised care that honours each person’s values, preferences, and circumstances.
Based in the beautiful Blue Mountains, I provide private midwifery care, pregnancy support, birth services, and continuity of care for families across the Blue Mountains, Western Sydney, Hawkesbury, and Lithgow regions. Whether you are planning a home birth, hospital birth, or simply looking for a trusted midwife to support you throughout your pregnancy, I would be honoured to be part of your journey.
